Welcome to August’s Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is  “Summer ” – so this could have been a holiday, a day out etc. the choice is endless …

Although my husband is wearing a coat and hat in the photograph I can assure you that this was taken back in August 2016 in Galway, Ireland when we went back for my god daughters 18th Birthday.

You may have joined me from Lisa’s blog or perhaps you are starting you journey here with me, I hope that you like our creations and the they give you inspiration as you hop around the world.

This month I decided that I would take my scrapping out of my comfort zone… it was a challenge and I taught this at a Summer Retreat and it went down really well with the ladies.

Having firstly primed the MDF ship’s wheel I then set about covering it with a sheet of Designer series paper from the Come Sail Away collection (the ladies chose which ever sheet went best with their photo unfortunately I forgot to take photo’s of their finished projects)

Having sanded the edges I then got rather messy inking them with Night of Navy ink. Using the Sailing Home stamp set and co ordinating Smooth Sailing dies and started to embellish the wheel with light houses and sailing boats.

I added some hessian as netting, some of Eli’s play sand and shells that I had laying around for some time to bring it to life.

I  hope you’ve liked what I’ve shared with you –  supplies used  to created this project  can be ordered via my Online store here.

Don’t forget to leave me a comment below, before you continue hoping on over to see what  Shirley has created using this months theme.

Feel free to contact me and look forward to catching up with you soon.

Happy Scrappin’
