Welcome to August’s Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog

This month’s Theme is Monochromatic

You may have joined me from  Dorothea’s blog or perhaps you are starting you journey here with me, I hope that you like our creations and the they give you inspiration as you hop around the world.

This month I am sharing with you the layout that I have cased from the talented Sara Levin, I seemed to have lost my MOJO recently for Scrappin’ – well ever since I’ve had my operation and found it difficult to stay seated for a length of time, so used this as a starting block and it seems to have got my creative juices flowing again.

I’ve used tones of “Orange”  for my layout inspired by the photo I took of a bloom from my trailing Begonias.

To start with I used a wash of Pale Papaya one of the New Incolours and then dropped some Pumpkin Pie Reinkers for the darker effects. Once this had dried I then stamped the foliage from the Forever Fern stamp set in Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody

The flowers in the jar are coloured in using Wink of Stella and Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie inks (from the Jar of Flowers stamp set).  Having tested my colour wash on a scrap of paper first I didn’t want to waste that so  I’ve added a few Dragonflies from the Dragonfly Garden stampset and coordinating punch.

All that is left is for me to add my title on the right hand side vertically using the Playful Alphabet dies that I don’t have with me at the moment.

I hope you like the layout that I have shared with you. The supplies used to create this layout can be ordered via my Online store hereBe sure to use this months hostess code, which can be found in the side bar to receive a little something for me if your order is under £150. Also if your order is over £45 remember you’ll qualify for a SALE a Bration item to.
