Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Showcase Blog Hop …..the purpose of this hop is to show you what we have all been working on during the month.

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from  Angie’s   blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my showcase project I’m going to share with you is a project I made for my Christmas Retreat.

Having purchased so Glass Coasters we set about decorating them using a variety of stamp sets… the two shown here use Peaceful Cabin and  Arctic Bear stamp sets which both have co-ordinating dies and sadly these are all on the Last Chance list – so if you really like them then I would get them before you regret it.

Firstly we stamped the main image on to the reverse of the glass coaster using stazon on ink (remember that the image would be reversed so if using sentiments or alphabets be very careful). Once this was dried, we mixed acrylic white paint with a re inker to produce the colour we wanted and then sponged this onto the coaster.

One tip we did learn that you have to wait between layers/different colours to dry before adding another layer.

I photographed them both on a piece of white card stock and a piece of black and I’m not sure which one I prefer – the darker because it looks more like a winter snow storm or the white as its a little more gentle which do you prefer??

The Stampin’ Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don’t forget to use this month’s hostess code which can be found in the side bar, to receive a little something from me if your order is under £150.

Before you continue  to hop on over to see what Kim has created, don’t forget to leave me a comment below.

Happy Stampin’
