Welcome to March’s Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop’s.
This month we have been challenged to incorparate “RIBBON” on our layouts
You may have joined me from Rochelle’s blog or perhaps you are starting you journey here with me, I hope that you like our creations and the they give you inspiration as you hop around the world.
The inspiration of my layout came from my friend Jane, she created a layout using other ribbons for a retreat we run – but being a Stampin’ Up! kinda gal I wanted to use “our” ribbon’s only.
After chosing my photograph I then teamed this up with 2018-2020 incolour ribbon’s guess what I did’t have the Call Me Clover one, so I improvised and coloured some of the Whisper White Crinkled Seambinding with my Call Me Clover Stampin’ Blend. I then tied lengths of the ribbon’s around a coffee stirrer.
I stamped and die cut my title out using the Lined Alphabet and Layering Edgelits in coordinating colours to the ribbon’s.
The finishing touch to me, is the “splodges/drips” of ice cream which were stamped in versamark and then heat embossed with Clear Powder. I’m not sure if you can see them in the photo or not.
I hope you liked the scrapbook page I’ve shared with you – supplies used to create this, can be ordered via my Online store here and don’t forget to use this months Hostess code which can be found in the side bar.
Don’t forget to leave me a comment below, before you continue hoping on over to see what Sharon has created using this months theme.
I love how you have created that ribbon border Sue – very pretty
Fab layout, the coloured seam binding adds texture. I can't see the splodges properly in the photograph but I can envisage them and bet they look great. Fab theme, thanks for having me x
Lovely layout. Love the idea of using ribbon bows on a coffee stirrer. Will be using your idea for a future layout
