And welcome, today see’s the first post here on my new website/blog – it’s been a while in the making but it’s finally gone live!! I’m still tweaking a few bits so please bear with me. Please remember to update your bookmarks accordingly to ensure you keep up with all my posts and any Stampin’ Up! news, offers etc.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for then please do reach out via email. For my first blog post I’m sharing with you a scrapbook layout I created for a retreat I held last month which uses the Flight and Airy Designer Series Paper that were available during Sale A Bration
For the base of my layout I used a 12×12 piece of Crumbcake card stock, I then fussy cut a row of birds from one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper, I heard the ladies at retreat gasp when they realised they needed to fussy cut their paper but thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation that gave them.
Once I had decided on my photo’s, I decided that I wanted a large title in matching papers with some depth, this is where I pulled on some techniques and skills that I had seen done in the past.
Here I reached for my Large Letter Dies and cut out two of each letter in chipboard and one in coordinating Designer Series Paper. As I didn’t what the grey chipboard showing through after I have stuck each of the letters together, I painted them with white acrylic paint coloured with a little bit of Bubble Bath ink refill. So they would coordinate with the paper, yes I love to get a bit messy when I craft.
Once I had adhered the title to the page I added some Wink of Stella to make them sparkle, not sure if you can see that from the photo. For some reason I had an extra photograph of the blossom printed off so instead of wasting it I utilised it by punching some small flowers and adding them to the word “Blossom” using some pearls for the centres.
I hope you’re inspired by the scrapbook page I’ve shared with you, if you have any comments I’d to read them. Thanks for passing by today.
